Yep. It's on the left side. Check to see if the plug-in spot is still there. Is your X5 used? If so, it could have easily been lost and never replaced.

the 3.0i didn't come with a flashlight, only the V8's.

I am not sure what year the 3.0i started to come with a flashlight in the glovebox, but my 2006 has it there, and it has been a handy feature.

Sweet, I found the "missing" 12V plug... it is way up there below the glove box. I also didn't know that the center console slid forward.
