If you push the moonroof button up instead of sideways, it will go into a grill mesh mode for high speeds. The inner roof will go ajar and a mesh will spring out. Then the outer glass roof will tilt open. Way cool!!
For high speeds?

How about this one...

You're cruising along behind a slower motorist and you see a spot to pass coming up. You don't really want to floor it to pass cuz ya just don't need all that much of a power boost but you're too lazy to shift over to sport and then manual mode for a manual downshift...

...if you just stab the gas pedal fairly sharply - about an inch or so, the transmission will downshift a gear for you and you'll have the extra oomph you'll need for a smooth pass... Works even better if you're already in sport mode, but it does work in drive as well.

anyone know about this? I happened upon it by mistake, if you push the top of the armrest it slides foward. It slides over the rear cupholder and actually makes a better position for you to put your arm on.

A lot of cars do this, it's probably one of my favorite features.

Yes. Open the passenger door and look under the glovebox to the left.

I was kind of upset when I opened my glove department, and didn't see the BMW flashlight, like the one in my old 3 series.

Hey bro, were you at Circuit City in Newington by any chance on Saturday? Someone parked near me in a Lemans X5 that looked exactly like yours.

It should have the flashlight. My '02 4.4i had the flashlight. Maybe it's just missing?
