They suck-- the projector is not for hid, the high beam holder cracked, the beam pattern is not for hid, halos topped working(one of them has not worked at all). Minor stuff-- a nut broke off , misalligned parts, shaking projector frame. Im returning those. I would have done a retro but it sucked that the halos are shut

Hey "Dolphin 4 u" - any comments on this? I thought you loved your lights Is the lights output really so bad.
I have my lights still in the box. Will be installing probably next weekend, I hope...

Well I can't really comment on the HID pattern because as far as I know mine are ok. My rear air suspension gave out so I don't have the truck with me to really check the pattern out....for me they are as bright as hell. I did mention before that HID had to be adapted but was easily done. My AE's are ok but I did have a problem when installing because the AE's wiring was reversed inside the headlight so when I connected relay + to what should have been + on the AE's plug and - to the plug's - the ballast blew...found a pair on ebay for $22. plugged it correctly and everything works fine. My projectors do not shake, auto level works...HID works, high beam works...what can I say...you got a bad pair

I know there are al leat 2 vendors on ebay for these...PARASITE SINGLE and TREND GEAR AUTO, I've heard people complaint about the ones from parasite single...I bought mine from trend gear...they should both get them from the same supplier but maybe one of them is more concerned when it comes to what they accept from the supplier and also what is ok to ship out

Thanks for your comments.

I am waiting for my CCFL wiring that should be here next week and after that - I am next to install them. Will try to snap some pictures before and after too.

Check the ballast connections to the headlight plug just in case...the ballast is right below the low beam...inside the housing...you should see it right away when you remove the low beam back cover...the wires are color coded...black and white/red. Black is negative, white/red is positive. Make sure that's how you hook up the relay to the plug and you should be fine.

The pattern is def halogen in mine, no purple at cutoff. Maybe i will have the seller send a pic prior to ordering. Also, there are 2 products looking same but 1$ apart. I wonder why: hid setup costs more by a $1

OK guys, I have found this Black Housing Euro Headlights for BMW E53 X5
I think I am going for those now and it "qualifies for free shipping". ebay has those for 370 plus 160 for shipping.

these are exactly the same lights as mine. They are very good quality, switchable light pattern and auto leveling motor.

However, I'm not sure what it means by "Twice as bright as stock". The built-in AEs are pretty dim and have hot spots.

They are referring to the beams themselves (low & high) since they don't have the waffles inside they have better light output.

I bet they refer to HID setup. HID has 2x the lumen. The whole deal with Umnitza is tricky-- they charge for AEs when it is clearly installed at the factory. PS I have sent an inquiry to DepoAutpLamps about their dealers, resalers, group buys, and etc. We'll see what happens.
