I drove my Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport RFT (Summer ONLY) Tires in the snow, 25 degrees F. ICE and 6" Inches of snow.... AND THEY DID AMAZING.

I realize some of you may consider this "negligent" however I am no newbie to snow driving and know perfectly well how to responsibly drive in the snow. They did not grip as well as snow tires I would assume but staying under 30-40mph they drove fine, turned fine, and stopped fine. The traction control is very smart on the x5.

After I got home, the glossy black 3M vinyl arrived... so here's a comparison of the (temporary) plastidip grill and the new glossy black. Looks way better and matches my sport pkg window trim now.

Can't do much until the 2nd (no tags until then) But we got a good 12" of snow last night. I decided to hop in the X earlier, let it warm up and put it in manual 1st and it idled through the 12" snow about 50-60' down my driveway. I was impressed. I cant wait to really romp on this thing in the snow.

Great job on the gloss black trim, ties in with the paint and the window trim so much better now. And I really love the city lights, do you not have xenons? your second pic looks like halogen low beams, I thought all premium packages had xenon but I could be wrong.

Did you code off your turn signals as parking lights? In the pic with your low beam on I don't see the amber turns.

hey guys... did anyone break these LED housings open? I've had these since the E39 days, they fit fine to facelifted E53 but they are toast... before ditching them, i was thinking about trying a new set of LEDs to solder in... but I can't get the damn thing open - I pulled it apart to the last piece where the dome of the LED is sitting but can't figure out if the AL piece is screwed together, pressure fitted, glued or snapped together...'

if you look at the circular ridges, you will see that at the top portion, there is wider gap with a thin line - I suspect, that it is where the top portion comes undone from the bottom... but how???

any advice?
