Overall cost including refinishing, shop labor to remove/reinstall tire, rebalancing, etc. was $230. Car rides much smoother now that the dent is out of the RF wheel.

Since you mentioned you were in Westchester, it's pretty local to me..so send me a PM if you want a good place to send out the wheel. Another option is Hubcap Haven, that will sell you a refinished wheel for $249.95. But you need to speek to them before ordering to determine if they are sending you a refinished wheel or a new knockoff, (if you care). I've gotten wheels from them and they have always looked like new from a dealer.

Thanks for the offer man but the place where I got them refurbished and Powder coated out in LI (Elite coatings) is only $125 for repair and repowdercoat gunmetal. I only paid $500 when I got the entire set done back in the summer.

I have the entire brand new ccv kit (valve, hoses) sitting under my desk at work if you're interested. It is not the cold weather kit though. Bought it from ECS to do the work myself, but I bitched out and let someone else do it. My total with shipping was $128.56 I will ship it to you for free for $100. Let me know if interested.

I limped home on my run-flats... both passenger front and rear tires had 0 psi by the time I got home.

I hated the run-flats up until now...

Still a shitty morning. No clue how it happened.

Thanks man, but I just ordered from ECS. I needed a VCG too. I'll keep it in mind if it goes out in my fiance's X5, our girls seem to PMS on the same cycle lol!

Me too!!..i hate RF too..but when i punctured on rear on the highway....i knew tow truck would be 300% more than regular road tows....and the RFs helped me get to a gas station so i can plug it myself and put air..ever since then ..i loved RF's....

Well, I've had my X for 2 months now. In addition to the stock 20s, it came with a set of new 18 inch style 87 replicas with new Pirelli Scorpion snow tires. Put those on just after Christmas. Hated the look so much, I just had a set of Conti DWS put on the stock 20s. Will just leave them on year round. Love the look with the 20s. Completely transforms the car. So far the tires are great and they ride so much better than the Michelin Diamaris that were on there. They were admittedly pretty worn, but man were they loud.

I've also put BMW winter mats in the car front and back.

I'm going to tackle the final stage resistor this weekend as my hvac fan occasionally has a mind of its own.

I want to do the M3 steering wheel swap, but having a hard time justifying the cost. Truck only has 59,000 miles on it and the interior is perfect including the sport steering wheel. I just hate the finger indentations in the back of the existing wheel.

I almost lit it on fire is what I did after the coolant light come on this morning after just spending $1500 on it last week to get repaired for another problem! After having it towed to the closest BMW dealership (why I took it there is beyond me) and them quoting me $4500 to rip it apart and re do the entire motor I had it towed again (yes almost $600 in towing today) to my mechanic and they fixed the heater hose that runs from the back of the motor to the firewall for $250.

This X5 is an absolute money pit! Again, if I had a match today there would have been one less 4.6is on the road....serenity now!
