And.........my wife started it up this morning (a balmy -15C), squeal/marbles from idler pulley or alternator and the check engine light is on. Charging the laptop up today and I'll get plugged into it tonight to assess.

Pulled codes:
5EB1 - steering angle sensor supply (might be from them messing with the shaft to install the u-joint)
279A - throttle actuator - relearn abort (that's a new one)
2742 - misfire cyl 1 - misfire with cyl cutout
2746, 5, 9, 8, 7 for misfires on cyl 6, 8, 2, 7 3 respectively

Most events were in the recent 2,000km. Some before and some after the shop visit. I grabbed some snapshots and cleared the codes. I'll see what gremlins re-appear

After doing some research, I decided to order the Afe Stage 1 intake. I know it won't bring remarkable improvement but more on improving the sound, but let's see what it can provide. Good thing is that 4wheelonline.com gave me a discounted price so it is still a good upgrade for my X5.

I used DISv44 to make the adjustment. It's under the diags menu. After you do the short test of the modules, you hit the first button at the bottom (Function Selection or whatever it's named), then it is one of the selections on the left hand side of the screen. I can't remember off the top of my head right now. I'll post how to get to it once I get home. DIS allows you to change the setting to either .03mm or .08mm though it gives you a warning about .08mm. When I changed mine, my setting was at .022 which was out of spec. Sorry it took me so long to respond. I'm currently trying to resolve another issue.

Put in a Bagpipingandy kit to remedy my compressor today.

Strangely enough, when I started the car I heard a "psssst" from the rear and still got the suspension inactive error. No activity from the compressor it seems. Any thoughts?

Update: fished around the bottom of the trunk and found this piece. Any ideas?

Drove home fine...now all 4 corners are sagging. Really starting to lose patience with air suspension.
