Decided to sell it!

Picking up a '15 Grand Cherokee after work.

I'm really going to miss my X5, but it was just one thing after another. I've got a young kid, a new job, and a wife that feel like we dont spend enough quality time together. Add all that up and going out to diagnose the latest problem with the X at the tune of $500/pop just wore me out.

I'll have some goodies for sale in a couple of days, I pulled the sirius module, the working TCU, my new Rim/Tires, my compass/homelink mirror and the rear hatch springs.

I suspect I'll be back into BMW's in a couple of years once I have some more time. my current desire is either a E39 540iT or a E24/E28.

525it_feen. is your truck lowered? I want to drop my truck so bad just that my air suspension works perfectly and It hurts tu remove all 4 air bags since it's perfect. I have an 06 4.8is what do you recomend if I decide to lower it?
Yes its lowered on BC coilovers. I HATED the way my air suspension rode in any setting stock or lowered. There was nothing wrong with it I just didn't like it. I had a 4.8iS before this one with a lowering module and even with that I couldn't get it to ride the way I had liked. BC over everything if you ask me.

Nice work. What was the total parts tally and supplier?

Find someone with some software. Takes like 10 mins to lower it.

I hear you, and again there was nothing malicious meant by it. I was just as surprised by your response as you were by my "ribbing" (though not received as such I realize). At any rate, you're contributions here are no doubt helpful and I'll continue to view your comments/suggestions/posts in the highest regard. Sorry again for the misunderstanding.

I agree with you that it is up to each of us as to how we deliver criticism, but would add that it is also up to each of us as to how we receive criticism.

PS: Maybe my family is just brutally honest that way I suppose... lol. My sister has called me fat. So I lost 40lbs. She doesn't call me fat anymore. HAHAHAHA... I never get the question "Hey Hon, does this dress make me look fat?" from my wife either... so I've got that going for me.

Wow I did not know that you could lower it with a special module. Can you guys please give me more details as far as how to do it. I called my technician and I know he messed with the suspension when the self leveling sensor gave out but it just centered it out. How can I get this done? Any links available or what module is the one I need? I guess I could try it and then if I don't like it I'll see how it is to get lowering springs.

Yes I will upload some pictures of my interior. I actually switched the red leather from my previous 03 4.6is. It was giving me problem after problem so I bought this one, switch the whole interior and then sold the 03 with the black leather. Have tons of different ideas for this X. Love this forum but don't really log in that much anymore.

APPRECIATE YOUR HELP GUYS

Wow, I remember Intrax... guessing they aren't around anymore? They had an e30 spring that was a ludicrous drop. Like 2.5+ inches I think.
