I ask, as I've burned up $600+ in lead recently.....and am currently debating on a cheaper *less premium* AGM battery or just wet cell...

Nope, never died. It has been very hot 80% of it's life here it is over 100.

Got it. As lead prices rises, battery warranty on these go down...

I'd be inclined to even consider going with the 5 year wet cell. Better reserve, better CCA - not that you would need it. The only thing the AGM has got going for it is the discharge factor

JC makes their gold, etc as well.
Interesting....as without seeing you sticker, I actually thought their current platinum would be still Deka

Thread bump. E30, noticed in the store the sides of the AGM have a vent port. Theoretically, it's a SLA.....

Just curious. Did you vent your AGM battery?
