Not quite. For some reason a few days ago I had to manually push it in. Thought it would be fine as I frequently pull my drivers side mirror in while driving down narrow country roads etc.

It has gotten worse from not moving in sequence with a few noises, to grinding noises, to now not moving at all. At least not flapping around I guess.

Will take it apart on Saturday and see what the damage is. Bad timing I'm looking to move the car on any time now in PX for an LCI

Try manually to band it forward and manually back again! U can compare ficsation sounds with good one!

Sometimes it helps! Usually ficsator is dead!

The motor is fine but I think the gears are gone. Will have to take apart and see.

Hey X53Jay4.8is where did you get that BMW emblem for the engine cover?

Thats the standard emblem that goes on the hood of the vehicle. I just ordered a new one and drilled a set of liberal holes to set on the engine cover. Once I had it centered I put some hi temp Permatex ultra grey on the back side and the holes. Its solid and perfectly covers the embossed version of "BMW" on the engine cover. It looks proper

Sorry I missed this request. I did the paint in a duplicolor "cast aluminum" color enamel with ceramic and used a hi-temp enamel primer with ceramic. only re did the painted portion of the the engine cover since the rest is molded in black.
The paint and primer are in rattle can applications available from your local Pep Boys.
