Finally replaced both gas pressurized hood springs (#51238402551). Getting ready for a full power steering overhaul.

Oil filter housing gasket replaced due to leak. Dealer did is for $550 out the door which I think is pretty damn good considering I also got a 16 528xi for the day.

Completely different thing. The OFHG is accessed from top of engine by removing air box, fan, power steering res., belt/pulley, and alternator.

Ordered new mirror puddle light and rear windscreen wiper arm.

Replaced the outside mirror glass on both sides with asymmetrical versions. I thought it would be a 5-10 minute deal. There must be a 'trick' I didn't use. For me it was one of those projects that are a dream to take apart and a nightmare to get back together, necessitating a liquid supplement to patience.
