Replaced the driver side mirror motor ring gear. No more wobbly mirror that has seizures when unfolding

Took forever to find that dang thing in the junk yards. Ebay people just wanted too much. But that being said, I'll be hunting for those and selling them at reasonable prices now

Unfortunately no. It wasn't that bad. i'd say removing the plastic mirror cap is the hardest part (There are write ups for that).

All I had to do was remove bundles of screws holding the motor to the body, itself and top mount. And from there swap the ring gear case.

Sweet. I just replaced the puddle lights with LEDs and while I was in there did the switch so I can get power folding to work. You're spot on that getting the damn thing open is the hardest part. My passenger side essentially exploded as soon as I put pressure on it. Driver's side required half-a-dozen plastic wedge tools to even budge.

FSU/FSR came in the mail today!
So I Replaced the FSU; somewhat daunting and a bit of a tough task; but too difficult.
A week without heater and living off only the heated seats was a bit rough..especially living up in this rough winter.

Ordered from Bav autosport

OrangeFurious did you have to use a set of resistors on the puddle lamp retrofit to LED to get them to illuminate correctly? If not what brand of LED bulb did you go with and model?

I didn't use any resistors and just used about the cheapest T(forget bulb size) LED's around. Just happened to have some laying around when fixing my mirror switch so I threw them in. Works great... but YMMV.
