I just replaced my Nav screen and what a difference. The old screen didn't have anything wrong with it, but I wanted to replace it anyway, $145 well spend. I am glad I did. It looks so much brighter, just like new.

well, to be honest, i think if "they" want to see the plate, "they" should use their gadgets... so, i would try to get away with as dimmed lights there as legally possible...

I was just thinking the same thing. If it was up to me, I would have no light on the plate.

These are so bright that the reflective coating on the plate glares making it harder to read.

Today, I'm having the Timing Chain Cover Gasket replaced. I'm using a local shop in Hope Mills, NC. I have asked them to send me pictures of the timing chain and guides when they get into it. If they do I'll update this post with links to the pictures. It supposed to take all day today and a little bit of tomorrow.

I'm at 209,900 Miles now and on my to my goal of a quarter of a million miles. I always throught that quater of a million miles sounded a little sweeter than saying two hundred fifty thousand miles.

I always LOL to myself when reading about not wanting bright LED's on your license plate. Tiag yours look amazing. I have been running the same LED's for 2 years on mine, when they give out, I will def get a set of those!

Unless you're slangin rocks or packin tons of Russian made AK's missing serial numbers in your SAV, I don't see any reason to try to keep your lights dim on your plate. If anything a dimmer light on your plate will attract the Lawman, and you might get pulled over for visibility issues.

Watch Cops often enough? Half the time these people are being initially pulled over its because they are missing a light, the cops can't see the plate well enough to read it, etc.

I do LED's in my license plate lights of my cars for a more luxurious look to the rear at night, and the color of the LED's compliments it well at night. Will continue on all my cars to do so, and if Johnny Law can read my 6 digit plate number better because of it, then so be it. If he is pulling me over I damn sure hope he is going to compliment my X while doing it.

Been there. Got stopped twice while driving the Viper in FL for low lit plate, had to talk with supervisor in command both times to avoid tow, Simpson CamLock 5 pt harnesses are not DOT approved. Explained every Viper come from the factory with threaded inserts installed on stressed members and accessable thru knock-outs. Cops don't like 5 pts because some morons install them thru sheetmetal and trim pcs that can't withstand the loads sustained during impact (tearout/ejection issue).

I do all I can to keep the eyes of the law OUT of my vehicles after this.

Well, hauling lead-lined wooden boxes is not something that i have not done before... lol... i keep my lic plate lights one stock, the other one is LED, due to the lic plate camera... since both lights are illuminated (albeit, different colors) this correction of the non-LED to LED is super low on my priority list...

slightly off the subject - Mikhail Kalashnikov, i think he is 94, was recently hospitalized in Mutha-Russia for some health issues... that dude is in the rank of General without formal education normally required of a person to be promoted to a General... His lab has produced more new types of weapons than some other countries combined!!! lol...
