Unless you're slangin rocks or packin tons of Russian made AK's missing serial numbers in your SAV, I don't see any reason to try to keep your lights dim on your plate. If anything a dimmer light on your plate will attract the Lawman, and you might get pulled over for visibility issues.

Watch Cops often enough? Half the time these people are being initially pulled over its because they are missing a light, the cops can't see the plate well enough to read it, etc.

I do LED's in my license plate lights of my cars for a more luxurious look to the rear at night, and the color of the LED's compliments it well at night. Will continue on all my cars to do so, and if Johnny Law can read my 6 digit plate number better because of it, then so be it. If he is pulling me over I damn sure hope he is going to compliment my X while doing it.

Cops don't like 5 pts because some morons install them thru sheetmetal and trim pcs that can't withstand the loads sustained during impact (tearout/ejection issue).

I do all I can to keep the eyes of the law OUT of my vehicles after this.
Check out Schroth Racing they are the only company to offer multipoint harness' that ARE DOT approved for ON-ROAD use as a primary safety restraint! I used them in the Jeep I built with pops for my sister. Been pulled over for them a couple times, but as soon as they see the FMVSS certification they take they're ball and go home!

Initial fitment test of the Harness in the Corbeau seat back during the build...

When I was shopping for 5 pts the Schroth were double the cost vs Simpson. Didn't want to drop $800 on 2 set of belts.

You do pay through the nose for that certification....but being able to tell Johnny Lawman to eat dirt (and be right) is well worth it!

I would not use a four / five point without a roll bar / cage.

I installed the OEM Hitch Kit - OY! What a job. Took me about 7 hours from start to finish. Well worth it though.

Me too. The rear hoop on the RT/10 Viper has a steel structural rollbar connected to the frame.

Doode!!!! I wish I had man! I needed it. Darn installation is very involved and I kept taking parts of and putting them back again to be sure of fit and using the right bits. And of course checking notes back and forth.

That's the bad thing about doing DIY for me, I get all anal about it. I even cleaned the hitch - don't know why! LOL!

M-Sport still on hold. Got a car to take apart and one to get rid of first before I have room for the M.

RB, those side markers look great! Thanks for sharing the pic. This is exactly what I'd do on my 3.0...
