side note about lightwerkz, did you email sales@lightwerkz? i've emailed him a few times about doing some work on my stock headlights (remove amber, waffles, put in angel eyes) but he hasnt responded, I'm assuming he doesnt want to take on the treacherous 2003 headlights with permaseal!

That was the email used, however I did it through their website. On the topic of these damn headlights. lol I have had CCFL angel eyes sitting on my desk for months on end. I gave it a half hearted attempt over the summer to split the lights and failed. This summer however I vow to complete this damned project lol.

Yea the dremel is very high on my list. I tried heating it and it just made everything so pliable I couldnt do anything.

We can get the perma-seal lights opened, not a problem. We've done it on many models, so please don't hesitate to contact us.

pm sent but your inbox is full!

so here is my message:
Hello,

Saw you posted that opening the permaseal lights isn't a problem, I'm thinking about dropping them off with you in the spring sometime for modification, I live about a half hour from Clifton.

Can you give me pricing on the following per mod?:

1) Sport package pre-facelift small amber corner removal (leave clear section of the turn signal), hand polish inside of headlight lens when separated (outside I have buffed recently and is clear, no need for sandpaper)
2) Waffle removal in front of low beams and high beams (only if I decide to install angel eyes, if I don't I would leave them in)
3) Price for CCFL or LED angel eyes installed while headlights are open (not sure what the pros and cons are for each kind)

Thanks so much!

Jason, feel free to email me [email protected]

RickyBobby,

Can you post which specific pins you switched? I tried clicking on the link that was previously posted and it goes straight to the XOutpost homepage, I even searched your post history and it only shws the last 500

I've got an 03 and I'm guessing I'll need the capacitors....

If he doesn't answer you soon, I will take some pics tomorrow. I also should have the caps from lightwerkz by Wednesday I assume. It wont be much but I will take pics and a small write up about moving the pins and what not.

LOL I had to look way back myself, this was posted in the "smoked LED tail lights thread" back in Jan 2012 by me:

All I did was move the blue/green wire from pin 6 to pin 4, kept my capactitors plugged in, and success! Everything works!!!!

YES you will need capacitors, buy them from Lightwerkz (contact info on their website) and plug them in, and I hope your tail harnesses are wired like mine were! Let me know if you have any other questions, and get some Solaris Invisibulbs for the turns/reverse lights to stealth it out in the rear
