just an update for you guys. I've washed my X5 twice now and the dirt comes off quite a bit easier then before I painted it. It also drys quicker too. Since the paint is rubbery, it doesn't bead up like a fresh coat of wax so that's just one more reason to think about painting your ride.

I love PlastiDiping. I've done parts of my cars (and boat). But generally I do it on a regular basis on the wheels of my track car (MX5). I like changing the colour of the wheels every six months or so. Its easy to put on, and can just be peeled off when you've had enough of it. It's very durable too.

yesterday i saw a RangeRover, the newer model (Evoque?) in matte pink... I strongly suspect it was dipped... my wife wants the X in pink now... OMG, I am in trouble now!!!!

I had to check because it is possible that the Evoque may come in pink (as they are pushing it to women). The colors did not include pink. I think it's more likely you saw a vinyl wrap though.

You can definitely work this angle. Figure out what you want that is worth the trade and make a deal with her, short term. LOL Could be good for both of you.
