I still havent fully disconnected most on e60. Some things work, somethings don't as a result.

I've accumulated parts for this retrofit. And am ready to go as soon as emulator arrives. I bought the harness this time because its easier!

740is: You are in the lead.

Oh no, not me. LOL, I may be in the lead but really wish BMW documented and labeled MOST Bus connections better!

I can't believe that there has not been a documented NBT retrofit!
It's exciting that 3 of us are doing this together.
Good luck with Most.

There are "guides" out there, i.e. germaniks.com has one that is pretty step by step. http://www.germaniks.com/customerfil...STRUCTIONS.pdf But they don't even mention MOST Bus and how to remove the components/modules you won't use any longer. I notice they have the following document that has some diagramming of the systems, but it's not complete. http://www.germaniks.com/customerfil...dition%203.pdf

Following. I will join late with you guys. Just need to save some more $$. Car repairs set me back, or I would have started sooner.

740is:

Wow that is a serious DIY pdf. I don't know where you found it. But I love it!!

Exactly how it done, except for the goofy display mount originally. Then he got it together by removing the diplay trim and fitting it into the old trim, making it OEM.

It doesn't answer the question, where is the OEM bluetooth antenna in car.

Also, I would use shielded mic wires vs unshielded.

Lastly, if you have poor reception, you need to add the 2nd antenna.

And Just buy the premade harness!!!.... like the first pdf. Plug and play. Then get someone to code.....

Unless you've got lots of cash to buy it precoded like 740is

I just noticed your in San Fran. All those hills may make that antenna required. But there are incidences where people are fine with just the one. I personally only received short range traffic info. So If I were driving to NYC from DC, I would get the detour to avoid the traffic on a bridge close to DC but then get stuck in the traffic at Baltimore. When it could have just told me to go a different side route to avoid the traffic altogether.

I'm just waiting on the display cable. Got everything else..... Except time!
