just went thru your thread, very nice build, and details. This is my First turbo bmw, had a CLS 55 before this, then a 740i Sport, and a e36 M3 Cosmos black on black. On my Amg i had a laptop with STAR/DAS xentry to do everything that i purchased with everything pre installed and ready to do what ever. Tried to install inpa and ista but could not get it to work for me with my laptop. I dont know if it was a bad link or missed something? This car is starting to frustrate me ive put on less than 600 miles and have done nothing but wrenched on it since day one, doing maintenance crap. Glow plugs, controller, cbu cleaning, thermostat, silicone lines, swirl flap delete, map sensor, all new gaskets and seals for everything ive removed. Previous owner also maintained vehicle with open check book, but gave up due to all the crap i needed to do im guessing... My main goal is to get this thing running as it should so i can get it though emissions and then its time to delete, with all the parts sitting on my shelf. Going to do all the drive line fluids and associated filters as well. FCP euro is making a fortune off me the last few weeks lol.

Anyways all this boost crap started after doing the thermostat, it was stuck open so would not allow dpf to regenerate, once i put new thermostat and coolant, it now functions as should, and first time it did dpf regen, went into limp mode due to clogged dpf. Was told on the facebook diesel page to force dpf regens till it cleared it self out, and to also do a back pressure test... so i did. Boom problem solved with dpf, but upon doing back pressure test, im reading single digits through the rpm range, and shortly after my fun car turned it a slug under 2500 rpm.... also i noticed exhaust fumes leaking into my cabin if car sits stationary for a minute or 2. Any of these thing have any correlation? I might vac today, going to test all the actuators and stuff as tune my euro did, waiting on my bladder to come in to stuff in the intake as well as evap smoke machine so i can test for leaks,

Generally CELs arent useful for troubleshooting- its all about the codes. You have a code related to DEF that (i think) should have your CEL on all the time, but you report "no CEL other than 4bcc"...which makes no sense

Have CEL for 4bcc and thats it. i ordered/ installed a 10ohm resistor instead of 10k, no other codes pop up, drove the car 100 miles only thing i get a code for is 4bcc. Im very mechanically inclined, but this is my first turbo car, and seem to fix one issue to just have another pop up. I wish i had a CEL for something other than 4bcc, i also have paid version of torque app , and it also only shows a code for tank sensor.

I think what ard is pointing out is that a CEL is not a code and a stored DTC doesn't have to result in a CEL. I think I understand you to be saying that you scanned the vehicle and there is only one DTC.

There are no other pending or historical DTCs? I find that very hard to believe given your apparent symptoms. Not saying you're reading it wrong but maybe the tool you're using has limitations. I second the above - some extensive data logging is in your future.

only code I have with both torque pro, and bimmer tool pro. This isn't my first rodeo just my first Turbo car. only code I have is 4bcc , which is because I installed/ordered the 10ohm resistor instead 10k. Once I install the correct one and clear codes I will have no pending codes, no historical codes , and cel should finally stay off. Anyways found out my red boost hose is leaking so going to look into forge or see if atm has one for e70. will post pics shortly.

Wait for ATM to release an updated design for the boost hose. Should be out soon

so what should i do in the mean time with the leaky one, just replace the seal? im trying to get everything sorted so i can get thru emissions, and finally delete and tune.

added a picture of the leaking pipe, only code i have, and what this app shows for stats.

i ordered the drivers side hose from atm , will this one also be updated,or just the red boost pipe?

Sorry to be so late on this but no, I had no CEL when my map sensor went out just zero power until around 2800rpms or so. The only reason we found it is because Whitbread swung by my house and we just logged data from his car and compared it to my X5. We saw that the "levels" for MAP sensor were drastically different. We took the MAP sensor off his car, put it on mine and it worked like a charm.
