Hidden menu 06.00 Tank L R S Stats = 23.6 21.7 45 Tank Ohm- L R = 347.7 372.1 Pulled codes with ISTA/D and got a crap ton: S 0074 No comm w/ Car Access System S 0106 No comm w/ Gear selector switch S 0114 No comm w/ control unit possible S 0119 No comm w/ instrument panel S 0164 No comm w/ tyre pressure monitor S 0180 No comm w/ safety module/restraint system S 0181 No comm w/ siren S 0204 No comm w/ transfer box S 0212 No comm w/ junction box electronics/gateway module S 0376 No comm w/ MOST gateway 00507D Parking gear incorrectly disengaged Tried to activate fuel pump and nothing. No hum what so ever. Can't imagine the voltage was low enough to cause the electronics to wig out yet still be strong enough to start it. I didn't crank it long enough to kill the battery even though it is on a charger while work on it. Going to research these codes tomorrow. Can't imagine WTH could cause the fuel pump to stop and simultaneously disable comms with these other components. But I guess I'll be researching that... Ordered a fuel pump just in case.

Tank levels corresponding with bad pump. Check for voltage at pump; could be relay.
Defective pumps very much like starters can have intemittent starts where they have dead commutator bars but will work unless they stop in that one spot which aligns exactly with your symptoms

If the engine quit while key on "all bets are off" regarding what the computer makes of that. You have to reset all codes and try again

Nope. Engine never quits when key is on.
I had researched fuel pump relays earlier but only found 2 references. 1. That the fuel pump relay is in the back right of the vehicle and 2. This fuel pump CU. I'll have to pull out the diagram included with the car when I get home tonight. Odd thing with all those codes about no comms is they all reference terminal 13 or 15. I have to check my notes from ISTA/D.

Got my new fuel pump delivered today.
Also found the location of the fuel pump relay. They only way it could be easier to locate is if it hit me in the face.

Finally got the fuel pump replaced. What a PITA. But it is running strong now.
As you can see, the relay was not the problem.

I did want to add that this same fuel pump was replaced by the dealer 2.5 years ago. Not a very good run in my opinion.

My first fuel pump went about 130,000 miles and 14 years, the replacement went 10-11 months. Ouch. Warranty replacement now going on about 3.5 years.
