Different vehicle, different weight, likely different gearing. Definitely different ECM on the engine. You can't do a back to back comparison, even if you do trust the decimal places on the published 0-60 times.

I agree 100% with everything you said. I thought the exact same things when I saw these pics.

As far as looking better in the flesh? I thought the new 3 series would look better in person but it didn't. I'll take our E53 exterior with the new E70 interior.

It's a 4.8. The 3.0 has round exhaust tips.

Thank you sir......so I guess this new generation 4.8 doesn't have the front underspoiler lip. With our generations you can easily clarify between 3.0 and 4.8 models, but in my opinion these new 4.8's don't look that appealing...unless BMW unleashes a kit for it

Pleanty of new features but the back seats don't look to safe and all in all the new X5 looks like an X3 in steroids.

As for myself I don't like it, I own a 2006 X5 and I don't think I will ever get me the new X5.
