3.0si in the same spec is $94,500

4.8i is $118,300

on top of this is a luxury tax which is something like 25 cents for every dollar over $57,000, stamp duty which is a goverment tax of anywhere between 4% and 8% of the purchase price - maybe more depending on your state of purchase. and registration + dealer delivery which is another $3000-$4000
The RRP price for a 3.0SD at AutoClassic is $109,500 inc GST & dealer delivery.

I note this is several thousand dollars difference from the your RRP which is also in the BMW brouchure on the internet. Is the $102,8K that minus GST and dealer delivery?.

RRP doesn't include stamp duty or dealer delivery by definition, so yep

actually to answer your question better - RRP does include GST and I think includes luxury car tax

it doesn't include stamp duty, dealver delivery, rego etc

the price you've got from autoclassic sounds like 'driveaway price' not RRP

The autoclassic price of $109,500 isn't drive away because on the pamphlet its says excluding govt taxes and registration.

The BMW pamphlet showing a price of $102,800 says in fine print : Recommended retail prices are shown and exclude dealer charges, stamp duty, statutory charges and on-road charges which vary between dealers

So maybe the prices are in fact the same. I will raise this when I pick up the car.

today i ordered a set of Euro Custom plates for the X5. trust me to leave things to the last minute. They said the plates may take 4 to 5 weeks to deliver and I'm expecting to have the car within 4 weeks.

I had 3 months to decide what I wanted to do and here I am hoping the plates come before the car is ready......

Auto Classic are charging you a $6700 Dealer Delivery Charge for washing and preparing the car for you... Of course they will give you a song and dance about all the work involved in checking the car etc. etc. but really, everyone elses charge of $2k is more than enough...

Assuming a couple of percent discount which should be achievable, I wouldn't be paying more than the BMW Australian RRP including Dealer Delivery but plus rego and stamp duty.

Buying a new BMW in Perth without getting a significant discount or a hugely inflated tradein is just a ripoff - sorry...

Nice they and the showroom may be, but will you get extra resale $ for the car in Perth because they sold it ? - they like to think so but the truth is no !

Had enough of the merrygoround there. The X5 may have been my car of choice but for a variety of reasons, I went with a competitor that gave me a discount off RRP plus arranged a Corp Purchase with reduced Dealer Delivery and free 3yr/100k servicing...

I agree, the delivery charge is often perceived as being not value for money, along with stamp duty and luxury car tax.

I didn't pay anywhere near this exhorbant price so I'm lucky. The only thing I couldnt get away from paying full amount was the stamp duty and LCT. Everything else, car and options etc was discounted

I even tell the dealer that I prefer to wash the car myself because they never will do it to my satisfaction. Furthermore I am absolutely paranoid about any swirls being in the paint.

If it wasn't for the salesman, salesmanager and the assistant service manager all of whom i get along with very well, I wouldn't have bought new and/or a BMW.

My feeling is you can't put a price on knowing people that are 'in the know' and therefore have the ability to positively influence your total ownership experience.

When I am looking to buy a new car I only talk to those two people in sales and when I have a problem, enquiry or need some technical advice I talk only to Marco. I'm actually feel taken care of.

Hi all, Looks like I get my SD on Friday afternoon with a little luck.
Supposed to arrive at the dealership in the morning, Aero kit is painted ready to go on, towbar, Stainless Steel peddle box, tinted windows is all that is needed to be installed.

They said they need a day for there pre-delievery thing & window tint and another day for towbar, peddle box & Aero Kit install.

Anyway we will see what happens?

nice!
I put a gun to my dealer's head today in a desperate attempt to extract some information about mine and was told it had been built 2 weeks ago instead of late january - which is fine by me really, I'm just glad to hear it's been built. I was concerned about getting an Individual build slot. They reckon they can't give me a shipping date yet though.
