Additional Dealer Profit 1,389.00
Cash Sale Price 63,106.60
BMW Incentive -4,500.00
Cash Sale Price 58,606.60

I know I could have likely done better, but just didn't have time to hassle with the guy any more and I felt that slots on the 3.5ds were being harder to come by.

Ended up being just under $1500 over invoice.
Why should you pay for detailing on a new car? I told a dealer in St. Louis to get bent when they wanted a 300.00 get ready charge.

It's really all just additional profit / overhead. $300 is outrageous. At the end it really all comes down to a time/cost trade off when haggling. For me they claimed it was paid to some outside vendor to detail the car. I told them to let me see the invoice for that and I'd pay it directly. I think it really was some type of autobutler product?

The day after we agreed on numbers my sales personr faxed me vehicle inquiry report which shows a production number and status (111) order accepted by AG, priority 1 (customer sold), etc.

I think perhaps they had a 3.5d slot which was scheduled and still 111.

-Adaptive Drive
-Multi Contour Comfort Seats
-Running Boards

We went to Morristown BMW again, but they wouldn't budge any lower than $1600 over invoice. Keeping in mind this will be our third BMW from them, we thought we could score a better deal. We then drove over to Paul Miller BMW for the first time ever, and they were pretty easy going offering $1000 over invoice.

We now have a production number, but can anybody tell me how to track it on BMWUSA?
That's odd - we just bought our 2009 Diesel from there - on Aug 17 2009, got the last allocation deal for custom order for '09 that is - FULLY loaded, + Simonoz sealant (5 years), GAP, Wheel insurance, iPhone intgrated adpater and the only thing we didn't get as an option was the "Heads up Display" and got it for $6000 below INVOICE PRICE!! and delivered in 2 weeks

Good deal.. I'm sure they are dealing pretty good on the 09s. I wanted to wait for the updated NAV and iDrive though.

Odd? for a 2009? Many of the last 2009s were going at ~4500 under invoice

Without knowing what you paid for the garbage they shoveled in (simon-whatever...does anyone fall for that crap???) is it impossible to know what you 'true cost' is.
I assume you leased or financed? (GAP?) so maybe they made their money there....

"Your vehicle is scheduled for production with no production date yet."

When will it come? Our family is starting to need it since our 3er is "broken."
