If you peer into the back of the headlight assembly with the hood open you can see a large black access cap that twists off.

LUX H8 all the way for me. Nothing compares. Had to return my first set back for warranty due to some internal short in one of the power supply. It keep blowing the inline fuse. Sent it back to NAM and they gave me a whole new set within a week. Now thats customer service!

Barb,

Did you modify the headlight caps to allow the wires to easily pass through? Or the wires just being pinched?

Mine are just pinched, would have been really easy to do if the rubber/foam surround extended further and would conform around the wires. Instead it's just a hard plastic edge.

Well...right now I'm just pinchin' the wires. I did that because I saw someone had a fit about the suggestion that the cap be modified. I debated on whether it would be worse to pinch the wires or get water in the housing. I have no idea what the chance of that would be though.

What did you do?

I just had these installed on Wednesday. The guy who invented and manufactures them did the install for me. It tool about 10 mins total and is as simple as (1) unscrewing a plastic cap protectng the bulb; (2) unplugging the old bulb; (3) plugging in the new bulb and (4) screwing back the plastic protective cap.

The lights look fantastic !
