From comments in the thread, it appeared that some people got conversion kits. Don't quote me tho. Just because they're lights doesn't mean they can't be updated..new/brighter LED option out perhaps..? Cheaper more cost effective options as well. That in turn makes it cheaper for u and I. Marc has dropped the price, it could be any reason..since he has never answered why they've raised and lowered prices on the unit.

I just ordered HIDs from Alpine. I'll post pics the second I get them in. LUX doesn't look bright enough for me...

HIDS will look ridiculous. Wait till you put them on at night. You won't even see your Halos. LUX is the best and closest to the LED Corona rings. I will be jumping on the pre order !

Yes, they look fine. That's not the point. The difference is what kind and how the PS is housed. They will look the same.

help needed with install Lux V3

I can not figure out how these are supposed to go in.

I have a MY11 E70

There are two caps to access the head lights on each side.

Front one has a cap that screws off, and the back one has a clip at the top and flips open then comes off completely.

From the pictures posted earlier in the thread it looks pretty obvious that it is the front cap that needs removing.

Inside i can only see the bulb that powers the highbeam???

The clips on the back of this bulb do not match up with the clips on the Lux

Please help

Thanks

For what it's worth, I don't think the headlight assemblies are the same part numbers. This may account for the difference.
