I also have the LUX v3. They were very easy to install.

However I did notice a slight differnce between the nice color white my LUX AE are projecting versus my headlights. Maybe I'm just being picky. Did anyone else notice this?

I installed my V3 Lux AE today. I have no mechanical experience at all and it took me a total of 10 minutes. Attached a picture I took after I installed the left side. Very sunny out and they look great!

I am just sharing what I have read. Take from it what you will. Has this stopped me modding, no. I'm just aware of the risks.

Yup have to agree with you there. I bought my wife a 2006 X5 3.0i after our 2002 Tahoe caught on fire while she was taking my 12 year old son to school. (No mods). So lets say that I will not take any chance with the family car just to look good. Even though I am an Electrical Engineer I leave the mods now only to my car Its not worth the risk.

I just installed the GP Thunder 7500's and am pretty disappointed. Then again, $15 so no big deal. I think Im gonna end up getting the LUXs though, especially if it all fits in the housing.

the LUXs do not shine as bright on the outer rings either, be aware before you spend a couple hundred bucks for marginal gain over the GP Thunders.
