Great! Would be much better if they would be ventilated....very good option in summer! Avtive seats is not so important!

In this case, though I honestly didn't expect that. My scanner is on loan to a buddy troubleshooting a Mini, but all the buttons work. There's about double the adjustments.

I can imagine those are great, but would not be easily done with this truck. This is a huge step up in comfort for me, and only took a couple of hours.

2013 xDrive 50i ZMX 52k:

1) Replaced leaky turbo coolant lines
2) Replaced a broken turbo intake duct
3) Replaced the broken engine partition
4) Air Filters
5) Installed H&R Springs - 1.2" with Koni Special Active struts/shocks* and M5 bumpstops

*These rear shocks are meant for non-self leveling suspension and are a good 1.75" longer than OEM. Requires replacement of the upper shock mounts to work. I do not have 3rd row seat. Don't assume this solution will work with 3rd row seat as it may interfere with the taller shock mounts.

2011 X5 35d 147K miles took her in for a state required emissions test. This was done on a four roller dyno and it passed the following criteria:

60 mph 01% opacity
50 mph 01% opacity
40 mph 01% opacity
Zero Shift 00% opacity

On the back of the sheet they also recorded :
Speed(mph)
59.8
50.0
40.4

Whl-Pwr(Hp)
152.2
142.6
167.5

Grnd-Tq (lbs-ft)
1,690.7
1,896.4
2,758.2

Guy doing the test said it was the first X5 he has seen with that many miles getting tested. I will admit I had to use Carly to clear a DPF and active tank code prior to the test as they will not test with the CEL lit.

It's a good feeling isn't it!

Now just don't look at how much you can sell it for... It's a little discouraging.

VCG

Just new to the forum, found some helpful tips doing the valve cover gasket last week. Thought I may add a few of my own takeaways and tips here.
Thanks

Just changed the oil again. I went back to the tried and true and my favorite Mobil 1 ESP Formula 5W30. Unfortunately, Mobil replaced this oil with the dexos2 approved ESP 5W30. Sadly, it is not the same excellent oil.

I did not prefer the LiquiMoly 4650 TopTec 5W30. Incidentally, this oil is dexos2 approved. There was a dramatic increase in consumption and a lot of oil smoke during cold engine starts. I think it may have contributed to the earlier demise of some intake pressure sensors. No proof, though, and they were 137k miles old.
