Finally did my transmission service. Changed the filter, the bridge seal, the valve body seals, and the connector plug seal.

Used Ford Mercon SP and used about 6 Qts total.

My transmission had no issues prior and surprisingly the fluid that came out was still a little opaque and the same color as the Mercon SP(red). My bridge seal still looked decent but the tubular seals were definitely flattened out.

Overall the hardest part was refilling it, laying down using a hand pump.

You may have under filled the transmission. What was the oil temperature when you were refilling? I used 7.5 litres when I did the fluids and seals

40* C. I poured the old the fluid into the empty bottles and the same amount that came out went in.

Ideal fill temp should be between 30-35C

I followed CTSC instructions. Regardless I put it what came out (didn't plan it that way but it happened to be), matter can be created or destroyed lol

Replaced my air suspension system with new Arnott air compressor and air bags. The job is not too bad. Loving the ride now!

I took my X5 to the dealer for passenger side air bag replacement and it caught on fire sitting in my driveway the next day, insurance says it’s totaled, dealer wants to do an investigation, could be 3 months before a decision is made meanwhile I’m out of a car and they want to put me in a Nissan Altima. I have called 25 different attorneys and because there were no injuries they don’t want to fool with it.

Any Advice?
