I was willing to spend about $2-2.5K as well but also need to have it easily reversible because I am on a lease. I hope it works out for you.

Side note, I turned in a 2010 M3 before the 2013 5.0 X5. I did the same springs and spacers as you. Mine is also AW.

My impressions are that the springs significantly change the comfort of the truck. After installing the springs the truck is much more bouncy. The handling and look is great, but there is definitely a trade-off.

As for the spacers, at least with the stock 20s, I think 12/20 is too conservative. I really want to push the wheels out further. Maybe 20/25 is the way to go.

Another somewhat unique mode I did was plastidipping the fog lights black. I think it makes the overly conservative front bumper look slightly more aggressive.

Seems like we have similar tastes? I thought that I'd miss my M3('s) more, but I'm surprisingly happy with the slow-churn comfort of my X5. I'm on a lease as well, so I'm going with mods that I can easily remove and sell.

As for the springs, you have a 5.0 and I have a 35i. I believe that you have air suspension, so your ride will vary from mine. My truck isn't bouncy, at least not to me. My drop is modest, so I didn't expect ride quality to change much. The handling improvement is definitely noticeable though. The 12/20 spacer combo works well for the M-Sport 20" wheel offsets (..as well as my 22" reps because the offsets are the same). I'm not sure what wheels you have on your vehicle though, so a more aggressive spacer fitment may work - and look - fine.

How much was the front bumper I hope it takes minimal modification. I thought the M had the same wheel fenders as us M sport guy...

I purchased the bumper and all 4 grills for $999; the shortened fender flares were $280 for the pair. I don't believe that it will require too much modification/fabrication. My body shop guy will be sending me pictures and letting me know what is/was involved in the process. The X5M has the same wheel fender flares in terms of how much they protrude outward, but they are shorter in length. The M-Sport flares are longer and ultimately become part of the bumper (..and mate near the reflector). The X5M's flares stop at the bumpers mounting point.

Update:
So here are the first set of photos from the shop. The bumper will need to be modified as seen below....

Because of the way that the X5M bumper mates to the body of the X5M, these tabs will need to be cut/ground down or off in order for the bumper to fit flush. Additionally, the corner area of the bumper will need to be ground down/modified because of the slight variance in the X5M/M-Sport fenders. The X5M shortened fender flares also require a new hole to be tapped in the fender (..unseen once mounted obviously) because there is no mount point at the shortened end. I will keep you guys posted.

Very nice.

Where did you buy the 22's?

Are you going to be selling them?
