Yes, the idrive coding option is available for iOS as well - Version 21.3, update released December 4, 2015.

I have a BAFX ELM327 BT adapter that I used with the iCarly coding. It scanned compatibility with 7 modules, but after I tried to do the actual coding, it only worked with 3. I don't remember the module codes, but only the first 3 worked. I went to order the Carly BT adapter from them on Amazon with a $5 off code a few days ago and just yesterday, they sent me an email saying a generation 2 BT adapter is going to be coming out sometime next week or so. Price is around 30 euros and possible to support F chassis. Hopefully, the gen 1 BT adapter would still fully work with the E series....

The last update I received was on Nov. 22 for android. Currently no idrive dvd in motion code. It sounds like fun, but I'd really like to close the gate from the remote.

That was available with Android since beginning of October or before, three or four updates ago.

Yes. I saw it shortly after I posted. I was looking through the website for info. The app itself is more up to date. Coded the gate, it works as described.
I coded the start button to activate without stepping on the brake, but it seemed to have a delay of a second or so before engaging the starter motor. I was a little uneasy about that so I reverted back to normal start.

I never got the 'start without brake pedal' to work on my 35d. What I did notice is that with it enabled, it still required depressing the brake pedal and there was a delay after pressing the button before the engine turns over.

Tried the dvd in motion compatability with my dcan cable on my note3 this morning and seems to work. Not yet pulled the trigger to buy the add on but kind of confirms you don't need the new adapter if your coding with a wired dcan cable.
Would also like to see if they would implement map updates to idrive.
