You should read the whole thread when you get a chance but you can change a lot of things, depending on whats available for your model. It will tell you after you plug it in and let carly read the computers. You're better off getting it and doing it yourself vs paying because if you don't like a function you can go back and reset it or change it, not possible if you pay someone.

Some of the simple things are changing the number of blinks, windows open/close from remote, mirrors open close with locking, lighting options, fogs on with high beams, hatch open from remote, disable warnings, clear codes, see diagnostic info, track parameters of the car, see how the engine is running (if you have knowledge of what means what when looking at temps and readings) and so on... just get it!

Suggest you get OBDFusion OBDII smart phone App AND Carly for BMW. Carly for BMW is slowing growing and adding features, some may be in App purchases, however, to be able to code some of the features on the E70 it is well worth the price. Just the ability to close windows and fold mirrors when locking and to close the liftgate from the keyfob or the inside button is well worth it.

The good news is you can use the Carly interface with OBDFusion.

You can use this discount code for the Carly Interface/Adapter.

Discount code can be added in the cart at check out for the Adapter/Interface at the ivini-tech site - E8FAKM

For users ordering an interface through Amazon UK or US, please contact Carly/ivini-tech before their adapter purchase via [email protected]. They will then receive a voucher code for Amazon directly from Carly/ivini-tech. Provide the above discount code in your email message to Support so they understand what you are requesting.

Visit the Carly web site at www.mycarly.com

The shop Website for voucher code: www.ivini-tech.de/en/

Android interfaces - BMW Android REMINDER - E46, E39, E38 etc MAY STILL REQUIRE USB cable option.

Apple interface - BMW iOS

For some reason I can't get my cable to work with the E70. Works fine with the E39. It is the Carly cable.

The E39 and other similar chassis are Kbus and not DCAN. So this is probably why the cable does not work with the E70. Also not sure if Carly is smart/flexible enough if you actually had a USB DCAN cable to work with USB on the newer vehicles??

Doh! That's exactly it and I knew that. Thanks for the reminder. I thought someone in this thread used a DCAN cable in lieu of the Gen 2 Bluetooth adapter to program the iDrive options.

n00b question regarding OBD adapters, is Carly the best one for BMWs? Has anyone here had any experience with Automatic adapters? (https://www.automatic.com

Never had one before but been wanting to recode my LKM to have only the halos turn on (not the side indicators) when turning on the park lights.
