wow what a ridiculous thread. I am not biased and have never heard of either of you but I can tell you chilliwilli you have it backwards period.. You need the dsp adapter for ANY DSP amp equipped with coax CD changer to communicate with the DSP amp in your bmw... Some bmws had a analog 6 pin dsp and left the coax port on the am unused as mine did.

Perhaps you haven't been around these parts long enough...

You're not saying anything new...the vendor themselves stated this on their website and on the product, along with being aware of your setup. The key word was always "some BMW's"...so the only way to really know where to begin is with visual inspection of dsp module to confirm need of adapter. I recall making this point to other potential buyers and it seemed to yield the results they were seeking but perhaps not to the OP.

I believe i fell out with the OP simply because i was fencing a lota' interest and requests for parts, at the time, and perhaps the frustration of parts interest from aggressive tire-kickers got the better part of me (and possibly a few glasses of cognac). In hindsight and in reviewing original conversation, there was possible spillage from pm's and emails with other buyers. I can also see the contradiction and confusion i may have caused...my apologies.
