If you care to read all this, please let me know who's "not getting it"

Yes, it has the long cable to run from trunk. It basically plugs into your CD changer and replaces the CD functions on your display/NAV. I sold the DSP unit when i purchased...the E53 "iS" models were equipped with DSP from factory. Here's an image of the Silverline Pro from BSW:

Basically it is my understanding that for my DSP M5 the kit would consist of the dice box and a similar looking dsp module box, plus all the wiring. If you only have one "box" I'm afraid this would not work for me.

The Dice DSP module is an adapter for cars equipped with DSP (Digital Signal Processing), a non-DSP car has an analog signal. The adapter converts the analog signal to a digital signal that the DSP amp can understand.

I think you're just confusing it. Several people have contacted me about it and knew exactly what i meant by the listing. It's simple...if your vehicle is not equipped with DSP, then yes, you will require an adapter for the Dice to work. If your vehicle already has DSP, then viola.

Don't know what else to tell ya...hope you find what you're looking for.

BMW DSP Adapter | BSW

Having done similar mods to our other vehicles, i already knew my vehicle came equipped with DSP and certainly didn't require a "DSP adapter"...i ordered the kit, DSP adapter came with it...didn't need it. Perhaps you should contact DICE or BSW to confirm exactly what your vehicle needs.

If you take the time to read that page you will see that '02+ cars with DSP may or may not require the adapter. Any car before '02 that has DSP will need the adapter.

So what that means for me is that I will most definitely need the adapter for my M5 that has DSP, and I may or may not need the adapter for my X5.

Thank you for your time.

I didn't experience your issue the least bit...4 current BMW's should make you aware that most vendors are clueless when it comes to your car....good luck.

There's 2 more quotes but I only have one of them and it's basically a repeat of the above. So please someone clear this up for us (him).
