It shouldn't be asking for a DVD unless you are trying to make a dvd copy.. if you just trying to burn the OS of the nav then try using nero if ya don't have try getting a temporary one from www.nero.com or try getting the hack version..

make sure if you making a copy of the OS for the nav that you are choiceing the burn of image from the menu...
I was trying to burn the v.27 image, which I thought was supposed to be burned to DVD. Does it work to burned to a CDROM?

The OS disk is always burned to a CD-R, not to a DVD

Info about language and splash screen

Hi X5ers,
after having read all the 37 pages I don't understand if I have to modify the image of the cd in order to leave the italian language in my X5 navigation system.

Another thing....where can I find the v27 modded software with M splash screen?or where can I find the instructions to do it?

Thanks

Loading a new OS version will not alter the language pack. If your nav drive has the italian language now then it will also have it after an update.

Check your PM.
