ok, have you tried to save as new file instead to save the original?
Open Nboot to modify, make your change and choose from "file" > "save as..."and give it whatever name you want and try to save in this way...

There is no "save as..." function in navtweak but I tried to save under new file name........ The same!

As a new member to this site i noticed thier are some clever people on here who on the face of it are helpfull but under the surfice thier not tryed to get a program called navtweak but it dont exsist unless someone thouht it up and dont want to share fair enough

sorry if its confusing but it seems straight forward a lot of people on here have used a program called nav tweak but it cannot be found anywhere thats all
