Ok, I managed to edit the files...

But I have the problem that I cant burn the edited DVD.

I saved the original 2006-2 High DVD as an image with UltraISO, and thats 4,15 GB big (like on the dvd).

When I extract the files to hdd, they are 4,39 GB.

When I make an image again with UltraISO, the image is 4,41 GB big, and I cant burn it.

Whats wrong here?

Don't extract the files from the ISO and then make a new ISO, lots of people seem to make this error! Replace the files in the ISO image directly using UltraISO.

Can anyone advise how to edit the POI entries in ENG file? I have the speed cameras POI called AUTOVELOX on my DVD and would like to change the name. When I edit in Notepad and save, Nav no longer recognises map DVD.

Thanx.

Could be a number of things. If you are using UltraISO and replacing the edited file directly in the ISO image then I'd suspect the DVD writer or media. The MK IV DVD drive is very fussy when reading DVD+/-R disks, with some drive/media combinations it will only work when you burn at the slowest speed, with others it will only work at the highest speed, others it won't work at all. Just because you can read the DVD on your PC does not mean that the Mk IV will read it correctly. Try making a direct copy of the working DVD you have, when you can do that you have at least removed one variable from the equation.

Hi,

ok, I'm further now

I managed it, to get everything linked in the navi system. I can choose the links "Radars", can choose the area etc. and can click on search. But I always get the result, that nothing was found.

I used an ov2-file, converted it with the poiconverter to asc, and converted it with the perl script, which is on that co.uk homepage, to the url- and idx-files.

What's the problem here? Or can anyone send me a working asc-file, to see if anything got wrong with the poiconverter? That's the only reason I can think about...

Seems like I'll have to solve my problems by myself The logos appear now too.

Only problem which stays: TMC isnt working anymore and no streets and other graphics on scales from 2km and higher.

Anyone has a solution?

See http://www.bmwnavaddpoi.co.uk/neroway.htm for a good walk-thru of what's involved to modify the DVD
