Hi KiwiJochen,
I was coding my navi today (MK4) and I got error message:
Invalid property value
This comes up when I tried to read the settings or to code the navi

Here's the log:

4/26/2007 1:15:41 PM: NavCoder started
4/26/2007 1:16:11 PM: Coding nav started
4/26/2007 1:16:15 PM: Original settings read from nav = 01 FF FF FF 4C 4D 37 35 38 35 33 74 03 01
4/26/2007 1:16:15 PM: New settings written to nav = 01 FF FF FF 4C 4D 37 35 38 35 33 74 03 08
4/26/2007 1:16:17 PM: Code Nav Settings - Error when verifying coded settings: Invalid property value
4/26/2007 1:16:36 PM: Read Nav Settings - Error when reading current nav settings: Invalid property value
...

Is there fix for this?
Thanks

What version NavCoder did you use?

I have downloaded the latest version of the Nav Coder however I get the following error.

Component 'MSCOMCTL.OCX or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: File Missing or Invalid.

Please advise

Thanks in Advance

Please read the Readme file. You don't have the MS Comm control installed on your PC.

I have read the README and did what I was asked for the "MSCOMM32.OCX" file however the file error I was getting was for the "MSCOMCTL.OCX" file. This is not detailed in the README. Having said this a fellow member to this forum "roders" has emailed me the missing file. I now have it working

Hi,

I've just ordered the resler ibus device to go with this fine piece of software!

The reason for using it is that I was running a version of the NAV software that probably hasn't been upgraded since the car was built in late 2004. I upgraded the NAV software to V29 and there was an error, so I downgraded to V28, then back to V29 again and everything is fine apart from 'TMC' doesn't work. I've been told it's because I downgraded the firmware and that the nav unit is not runing in 'UK' mode, hence the reasons that TMC is not working.

Can somebody provide help on what I need to change to get TMC working again?

Thanks in advance!

Tim.

Use NavCoder, set region to Europe, make sure all other vehicle settings are correct and that should fix your problem.

Thanks KiwiJochen,

When you say make sure all other settings are correct, what settings would that be, or is it apparent once I run the software?

It becomes very apparent when you run the software.

Like: does the nav show the unit is fitted to an X5, when in reality you have an E39? etc
