Jochen,

I just got an SSS v26 that has the key coding option for BMWs. I can code everything listed on this page http://www.e38.org/E38-Options.pdf

One thing it does do is recodes everything on the nav to default USA settings. I did the unlock all doors with one key press coding and it set my nav to USA mode. I can not remember if I set the "mecca mode" on the nav setting as I was not sure what that was.

Let me know what you need me to log if anything.

I really want to turn on the feature to have one button press roll the windows UP, like I have seen in a Euro BMW. I have the one button press DOWN in the key coding, but not UP.

I am just starting the learn this tool, so bear with me on asking me to log everything.

Martin

P.S. I am sure I will be asked; The software tool was $1500 and included DIS V49, V39, SSS V26, and the coding tool for OBDII or under the hood

WOW at last a glimmer of hope...

My vehicle never got coded for the memory options I selected and on return to the dealer at a later date, they wanted to charge me for the work to be carried out ...

If you could log the DWA options, I would appreciate it very much, also if possible Relock 2 minutes after unlocking without door opening and Automatic locking after start (5 mph).

Hopefully we will see NavCoder with some new features which all users will be happy about.

So ambishop, study the tool, because I am sure Jochen will want the whole options logged

Odia.

Jochen,

Great program! I just wanted to volunteer that if you ever need any additional testing done with a MINI Cooper, I'm your guy. I have a 2005 MCS, with the OEM Nav (MKIV), and yes, I have the full bluetooth kit (same ULF that the BMWs get - 13th Gen in my case). I also have the OEM SIRIUS receiver (2nd gen), should you need to check anything out on that. I do have an iBus interface (two actually - both the V4 Serial & V5 USB versions from Rolf Resler), so I can connect easily for testing.

One of the things I am hoping that will be added to NavCoder is the ability to adjust the "dealer set" options... it sounds like the past few posts are hoping for the same thing. For example, on the MINI side, we have the following options, but only the dealer can change them (argh!):

--------------------------------
Syntax:
* Option (Available settings)

ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM
* Disarm acoustically (active, not active)
* Arm acoustically (active, not active)
* Arm acoustically (active, not active)

CENTRAL LOCKING
* RC Panic Mode (active, not active)
* Lock again 2 min after unlocking without opening (active, not active)
* Automatic locking after starting off (active, not active)
* Automatic unlocking after engine off (active, not active)
* Selective central locking (active, not active)
* Entrance aid / selective central locking (selective, not selective)
* Holding RC open button - comfort opening (active, not active)

WINDOW REGULATOR/SLIDE/TILT SUNROOF
* One touch function, open sunroof (active, not active)
* One touch function, raise sunroof (active, not active)

LIGHTING - External lights
* Daytime driving lights (active, not active)
* Home lights (number of seconds or disabled)

ACOUSTIC WARNINGS
* Fuel warning (active, not active)

DISPLAYS/LANGUAGE - Units
* Temperature (degrees F, degrees C)
--------------------------------

I imagine that many of the BMW options are identical or very similar.

You have been mis-informed.

NavCoder works on a direct ibus interface.
