Yes, you can use it to update MK4 (DVD) - It's the latest for this navi

NO!!!! You shoud use SAVE (not Save as...) in MagicISO (for example)....... Even using the Save icon will not help - ONLY Menu File->Save!!!

And don't forget about Mode2!!! Otherwise you'll kill your navi!

Enabling perspective view?

Hi everyone,

First of all, great forum - I upgraded my sat nav SW (Mini Cooper Sidewalk) after reading all the posts on this thread, it worked a treat (just popped the CD in, pressed OK and waited) to v31. I read that the one of the changes in MK4 is that you can enable perspective view, however I still do not have it. I seem to remember someone mentioning that it is hidden somewhere and needs enabling. Does anyone know how to do this?

Thanks!

1: The hidden setup menu.

Go to the menu screen select set (or settings) and hold menu button for 10 seconds, when the hidden menu appears scroll down untill the perspective mode option is selectable.

2: In the arrow map pointing menu.

Select GPS-Navigation, then Map, then push right button, select Map Positioning and there select Perspective

Hope this helps
Thanks! Guess I should've searched the thread before I posted my question...Gonna go try it out on my car now!

I have the V31, a new splash screeen and a new Nav Map disk from Navteq.

Does it matter which one I install first?

I did not catched - where do you have "new splash screen" - in v31 or in another disk?

Yes, it is principal to upgrade your navi to v31 and only then insert map disk - new maps are for DL disks and this function works only having v31 in your navi

I have a splash screen on a seperate DVD that was created by a fellow fanatic. I also have the V3.1 and the new Navteq disk, so I have a total of THREE disks. Is there a recommended sequence?

Thanks
ED
