doesn´t matter, mk4 can load from mode1 or mode2. get v31 and load it.

I own a MKIV (DVD)Navigation on a BMW MINI Cooper, what file is best to use to upgrade the system ?

When i download the link NavigationV31 i get after unpacking one file called NavigationV31, a nero disc image of 251 Mb.

When i download the link v31_mode2-form1 i get after unpacking three files, Image 288 Mb, Image.que 71 bytes, Image.toc 109 bytes.

What file is the best to use ?

Do i keep my MINI logo startscreen after updating ?

hi im new to this forum ). I have just installed v31 after around 4 attempts and every thing seems to be fine apart from i no longer have poi visible on map display ?? and cant seem to enable them ......help .

It depends from your navi - which navi unit do you have?

MK4 navigation unit is the same in BMW, MINI and RRover.... so you can use this navi-soft (which you've dowload - v31_mode2-form1).....

The question is not correct - not the "best to use".... Use any program which works with images - MagicISO, Nero, UltraISO, ImgBurn, CloneCD.... or others..... Just open image file in this program and then burn it on the lowest speed to CD.... and then - follow the procedure to update your navi

If you have non-standart startscreen - you'll lose it (to the standart one).... Otherwise you have to modify the naviSW to put your startscreen

Open you navigation (MENU button - GPS-Navigation), then scroll to and select "Information" and select which POI you want to see

insert v31 or v32 os cd and follow onscreen instructions. if yr nav has old software it will be updated.

thanks for your replies i have a 2006 x5 with mark4 hi nav ,and i understand what you say about going into the menu and selecting poi but how do you actually select them . Im pretty sure i did as you said but still the icons are not visible on the map where as they were with v29. Im confused )
