Great Site,

Anyhow I just purchased a used 05 BMW 330CI Convertible and I checked the version as instructed and it read SW 4-1/50 (I also have the MKIV System), from what I've read this is very outdated. Will the Mode 1 V31 install correctly with my system and what does this actually upgrade? Thanks in advanced.

Up to this moment the latest naviSW is v32 but I do not know the places where you can dowload this soft...... but you can download this v31 - everything shoould be updated without any problems (Mode is not principal for MK4)

Good luck and wellcome!!!

Thanks for replying I guess my last two questions are, do you notice anything different like graphic wise, etc...

Also, I just burn the image to a dvd or cd and inject it where the navigation disk goes and it will upgrade automatically? Then I insert the navigation dvd after I'm done?

Thank again.

V31 will
a) fix lots of bugs
b) give you 3D perspective view
c) improve the graphics

Well worth it. Do not hesitate. Install V31 today.

In comparison with your version (which is quite old) may be there would be some graphic differencies..... but in comparison with v29 - there is no visible differencies.....

So, procedure for the naviSW update (could not find the link so I will write it by myself )
1. Ignition to the position 1
2. Remove map CD from navi unit
3. Put into navi SW-disk
4. Update progress will come on the screen
5. DO NOT SWITCH OFF THE IGNITION DURING UPDATE PROGRESS, otherwise you'll kill your navi
6. After the finishing you'll be asked to remove CD from navi and press OK on the monitor (by right monitor button)
7. Navi will reboot.... during this time you can pray
8. Navi booted up and you can put into navi mapCDdisk and enjoy with the latest naviSW

But remember - everything you are doing on your own risk! Good luck!

Ok, great info, last thing I promise

Which format would be best to install from, DVD or CD? I'm guess CD but I want to make sure I do everything correctly to avoid messing up the system.

Thanks.
