hopefully it should work.
My old laser dont read the double layer dvd´s so I need a new one to take advantage with the newest maps.

Got the new loading unit and still the same problem with reading double layer DVD´s. My friends MK4 can read the same DVD that my MK4 doesent
read. The software is installed from the same v.31 CD on both navigators.
Any ideas aboute this problem?

And it dont work with double layer DVD´s. I toke a loading unit from my friends MK4 wich is working with double layer DVD´s andput into my MK4 and it reads the DVD. So it must be very big difference in this laser´s. Is it possible to adjust the laser for better reading?

Yes, it should read DL DVD's with 4-1/100.....
Make sure you burned the DVD right, maybe try to make another copy.

I re-assemble broken loading units from MK4's (DVD M3 4.6), with new lasers. Sometimes there's a weak laser that doesn't read DVD's or DL DVD's......!

BertusE46, many thanks for the helpful instructions, my drive was working with my OEM 2004.2 map DVD, however I could no longer eject it after loading my new splash screen and V31 OS. Works great now, need to find a new North American map DVD...
