will navcoder recode all units needed when you do a nav retrofit?
eg, DSP, OBC, MKx.. etc..

i have no sound now after doing a retrofit and need to recode DSP to work with mk3
i have pa-soft so i could write the vin to the new unit(s)
but it doesnt detect DSP etc.. (basically useless)

No, not all.

NavCoder can 100% fully recod the nav unit - that was it's original purpose in life :-)
It can also recode the TV tuner

DSP is something I'd like to add but haven't had time

And the IKE (which contains the OBC) can only be recoded via the OBDII port, so NavCoder cannot do that.

If you've done a retrofit, then you'll need to go to BMW or someon with the BMW software such as GT1 and use that to recode the car via the OBDII port.

thanks for the reply
Ive bought the pa-soft some time ago and it wont do it either
it will do the ike, do the video in motion and vin the nav computer.. but wont touch anything else, wont detect the DSP.
around here the BMW dealers are booked up for 2 weeks and ive called a bunch of indy's and their booked even longer.

i was hoping for another solution other than GT1, which i dont have.

on another note if you need a hand with french translations like it says on your webpage.. let me know, i can do it for you.

The author sits down at his computer, reads the emails and then generates the key and sends it to you.

I find serial interfaces to be more reliable. My older laptop has a serial interface, so I bought the serial adapter... No need to mess with USB drivers etc...
