As an IT professional surley you must have a program to educate the blind. The iPad certainly does. In fact there is no barrier to blind folks using the Apple iPads touch screen. Would you believe that security doesn't even factor into it's use. I guess Apple thought it was important enough to bother.

In fact; The Apple iPad is one hundred percent accessible straight out of the box. Like many other products that require the blind to install third-party software in order to use them successfully, which requires more money to be spent, the iPad has Voiceover technology integrated into the device that enables all aspects of the iPad to be utilized.

Still standing by your statement "It's a solution in search of a problem"?

The iPad has already lost close to 20% of the market share in the last 3 months. It's just a matter of time as more people base their buying decisions on 1st hand experience rather than Internet debates and media hype.

Article sounds like BS...There are always groups of people staying loyal to a certain product...iPad 2 will be no different.

Of course competition will be higher now, since people have more options to choose from... Like it or not the iPad may not be the best one out there, but it seems it is still the one to beat...

Let's get this thread back on track, please. No more name calling or personal stuff. We've got a lot of knowledgeable guys and valid opinions here and I'd actually like to hear what they have to say and not have it reduced to a bashfest.

Apple announced that online sales would start at 1:00am PST but we were clicking away at 12:50am. Some Apple fanbois will be all torqued about the early start. :rofl:

Any news on the BMW iPad holder. It's supposed to be out this month but I havent heard any updates. I am also wondering which version it will support.
