does it give audio directions, or just show on the map? my old nav OS did that as well...after i hit "terminate guidance", the map would still show the route to the last destination unless i put in another destination or turned the car off and exited. i think it's just part of the software :dunno:

Scroll down on the destination input screen the Map.

i wanted to add my own image but loaded 27. I didn't want to risk being set back to dealer default or euro so I figured I'd wait for next version to add image. The question is can I do that now with 27.1 in regard to adding custom image?

When I do this (i.e. switch back to the map), the sat nav then tries to direct me to the last destination that I input (which could have been days ago!). In the previous version of the software, you could cancel the destination and it would shut up.

I can't currently find a way of telling the sat nav software that I don't want to go anywhere!

Not only bought myself a great car, but also come across an even greater forum about it.

Upgraded my software from V24 to V27.1 . Works fine but ... have lost the "code" possiblity. Not very imprtatant, just good to know.

But becoming interested in it: should it be possible to patch with the 26.beta and getting the Perspective view on the 27.1 ???

Perspective works in V27.1 without any patching, but it is disabled by default.

Go to the Setting menu, then press and hold the menu button. After about 10 seconds you should get to the Nav configuration menu. Scroll down to the bottom, the Perspective option is just off the bottom of the screen, and change it from No to Yes. Press menu again to get back to the normal operating mode. Now you should have a third option when you select the map direction.

Does everyone think its safe to upgrade directly to 27.1? Or must you do 27 first? Or is 27.1 really a small correction which could of been called v28.

I'm trying to describe it to others and help them upgrade without panic due to the .1 in the version number.

You can go directly to V27.1 from any older version. All of the software update disks contain a full coppies of all the software for each type of nav computer, even if there have been no changes for some types.

Thanks King RichardP1 ... But doesn't seems to work. Pushed about 30' sec. without result. Anything to do with the 24 - 27.1 upgrade passing the 26? And do you have any idea where the code is gone ??? ;-))
