Hey guys, I have done some extensive edits for my Lang_Espangol and Lang_American file and I would like to import the files back into the navboot file. I have been using the NavTweak v.2.7 for a few weeks now with good success and all of a sudden it has started to crash on me when I attempt to save. This actually began yesterday after I tried to save my new splash screen. Now I cannot save any edits at all.
Originally I was running the Gtk v.2.19.9 RTE. After the crashing began I decided to get the most recent version. Now I am running Gtk 2.22.0 RTE and I am still having the crash problem. Funny thing I can do an export with no problem but I cannot do an import and that is a very useful feature. I know I can use the NavTweak v.2.6 and manually enter the text in and save it but that will take a long time and I am not that patient. I see others are having problems saving with NavTweak v.2.7 also but I was not sure if a solution has been discovered yet? Any advice or guidance? Thanks |

ive loved my X5 for so long, and im really beginning to hate it now.
the latest issue is this..... today whilst driving, randomly the navigation appeared to keep rebooting every 15seconds. then it rebooted and ive got all these weird colours on the screen (attached). its stopped rebooting. but now when i try and downgrade to v27 so that i can re-upgrade to v32, it doesnt recognise either of the discs and acts like ive inserted nothing. despite them being the exact same immaculate discs i used only a week ago to upgrade the unit! this is infuriating. can anyone suggest anything to help please? thanks. |

Hi folks,
I've been wading through all these posts over the past few days, and finally managed to create a new splash screen with night mode. Looks great - so thanks to everyone who has posted with valuable information for us all here  I have a couple of questions though.... I have a MK4 system in a Z4. 1) Is there any way to make the splash screen stay on a little longer ? 2) After a shutdown, my SatNav screen brightness setting ALWAYS reverts back to a default midway setting. Is there any way to change the default to MAXIMUM brightness - thus avoiding having to scroll through the menu every time I start the car to turn up the brightness ? Many thanks again everyone  |

The only real way is to adjust the pot on the back of the LCD panel, but this involves stripping the HU right down, I have done this and it does work, but it's a hell of a job.

Thanks for the replies guys.
I now have another MAJOR problem. Just burned a new OS update CD which loaded OK and the Nav rebooted and run perfectly. Then it rebooted again on its own. Now I'm left with a "NO CD or DVD in DRIVE ERROR message. I can eject the CD & DVD's without any problem, but the system is not reading anything. Please HELP ! Thanks in advance ! |
