Upgrade went fine and showing 4-1/91.

No noticeable changes but the real improvements are needed under the hood, in the routing and dynamic routing algorithms.

So fingers crossed the benefits will become apparent on a long congested drive.

Thanks to appy!

Hmmm, okay it is not a "beta". Wonder what happened to V29? Well, at least we get the latest and greatest!! :)

It seems to me that the announcement in meters up to the next road became more exact.
Anyhow it is V29.1. This is indicated also with the update process.

I burned it w/ Alcohol 120 and loaded it on both my 05 X5 4.8is and 03.5 M3 without any issues. Not sure of any difference though. I guess we'll have to wait for the official statement from BMW.

Worked fine for me, user error I'm afraid.

I can't notice any difference either yet.

I noticed a more aggressive routing algorithm. My NAV ALWAYS took me around my town and with the same settings it actually took me the shortest route thru town.

After burning V29 I inserted it in the car DVD player. The computer would not recognise the disk. I had trouble ejecting the CD & when I eventually ejected it I had lost my previous V28 OS. I could not re-load V28 so tried V27.1 - neither would load.....

I burned the V29 disk using UltraISO so I'm now going to burn with Alcohol 120% & see what happens:confused:

Currently I have a non-working SatNav!!

Does anyone already have a DUTCH modded version of it (witch replaces default coded ENG language with DUTCH text&voice) ? Or isnt that needed anymore ?

Have you tried disconnecting the battery/pulling fuses.
