The mk4 had the dutch menu and language, but after i upgraded his mk4, the language has changed to German, GB and French!
Is there anyway i can get this dutch language back (the menu an the spoken language)?

A SW upgrade often resets the nav to factory default settings. DE, GB and FR is factory default.

You need my NavCoder program, then you can set the nav to whatever language combination you want, and restore the correct Telematics settings

NavCoder changes the programming inside the nav unit. It doesn't alter the OS. You need to change the programming 9coding) to restore the languages and settings you want.

You need a hardware interface - an ibus interface - which you must either buy or build

In the NavCoder zip file there is a schematic for a simple ibus interface, which is the one I use.

And you also need a laptop with a com port.

I've just added NL to NavCoder, sorry! Still with a friend in Germany for testing..

NavCoder does Mk2 and Mk3, never tested on a Mk1...

Thnx jochen, i hope it works out for the dutch voice!!

Excuse me for asking, but in the entire forum i didnt seem to find how to change te menu in another written language, or is this automaticly changed when navcoder change the voice language, when it does will the dash display also change to dutch?
I viewed the program (navcoder 2.0) and its nice (accept the nl language whas missing LOL)
Im gonna search for a tutorial now, so i can study a bit about the possibilities with the resler device!

Im gratefull for your responce and the support your bringing to this board

NavCoder changes the language of the nav, and the nav tells the whole car what language to use. So everything changes.

I have tried DE, GB, IT, FR and US in my car - it works.
I have not tried NL!

Then NL will work also (LOL), now just making it available in Navcoder hehe!
Is Nl available in the previous versions of Navcoder?

When the resler device is arrived i will test Navcoder on an old mk1 and write about it here, maybe there can be a list somewhere to make a tut an compatibility list?

thnx again

Language code number 9 (female only) works perfect for Dutch (NL) navigation.
Both text and spoken messages work fine within V28!

Cheers,
