The last MKI Ver. was 15. This Version gave you SW 8.0 and MMI 7.2. The system was unlike the later navs.

Hi ALL,

im new here, and new to upgradi SW.

I have a 2002 BMW 530i sport, which has a MK3 system installed. Can i download the V32 software and upgrade my OS, on my satnav? will this work? or should i use V31? I have downloaded both, and am looking to try this shortly.

I currently have version 3-1/41 installed... hope this helps.

DO NOT use the V32 disc.
It has not been copied correctly.
It is in Mode1 format which will crash the Mk3 nav

Use the v31 or earlier discs, they have been properly copied in Mode2/Form1 format and you can safely update your nav

All OS discs from V22 and later all contain 3-1/63, the last ever version released for the Mk3 nav

An upgrade is worth while, just make the OS CD, insert it, and follow onscreen instructions.

Just upgraded my new MKIV. No problems. I wrote the disc with MagicISO in Mode2/Form1 and it loaded it right up. I was previously at V26 (1-4/60).

Perspective is nice!

Medium cant be read

I have read alot on this regarding upgrading to version 32. I currently have an E90, version 26, 2005 and I downloaded the NAV_SW(v32).rar (see post 57), unzipped it and burned it at 1 x using Imgburn. Verified the disc then removed the map disc from the drive loaded the new burned disc and after a few minutes the disc reads , "Medium cannot be read''. I tried the same with ver31, no luck. I m using HP CDs. Any advice will be appreciated. thanks.
