It basically reads "error" untill u get close then it picks you up ....SO u still need your eyes and to listen to the detector picking up the radar to slow down before he picks up .....there are websites that have done research on the exact distance for each detector

A friend of mind has the srx in his viper and we were traveling from oklahoma city to dallas... he also has the laser veil on his headlights... we came over a hill on a deserted road well over the limit and were suprised to see a trooper with his laser gun.. he could not pick us up untill we were close... at one point he even looked at his gun and shook it before he re aimed again... we waved as we passed by and had a good chuckle ...

In texas laser is very common in the big cities but most of the rural hwys are still radar with an occasional laser

laser jammers/diffusers are not illegal( i have heard some say that laser jammers are illegal in a handful of states) so if he pulls u over what is he going to charge u with....he has nothing that will hold up in court....REMEMBER THIS IS LASER JAMMING NOT RADAR JAMMING... RADAR JAMMING IS ILLEGAL

I doubt he will know for sure he was jammed. Laser diffusers do not "actively" send out signals. They simply make it more difficult for the laser light to reflect back off your vehicle. So the effective range of his laser is reduced. He may get an "error" or an "inconclusive" reading, but that could just as easily be because of other factors, like sunlight, light scattering, etc. As far as I know, it is only illegal to jam a radar signal. Diffusing lasers by making them more diffcult to reflect back is not against the law.

With that kind of reasoning why not just buy a Toyota Rav4, no need for the performance and handling of a BMW if you are going to drive slow.

If u really want answers to all u're questions go to this link,,, takes 20 minutes to decipher it all but even tells u what different guns are gonna read...

http://www.guysoflidar.com/march-200...mmer-test.html

THE key is once your jammer/diffuser alerts you to a signal then slow down to the speed limit AND then turn off your diffuser so the trooper can get a reading....Then he has less suspicion that he is being fooled
