This could get a lot of milage but I'm not sure everyone would agree that Jesus is God.

But Seeing as though In God We Trust is the official national motto of the United States and the U.S. state of Florida, and the fact that the motto first appeared on a United States coin in 1864, add to that In God We Trust did not become the official U.S. national motto until after the passage of an Act of Congress in 1956, it begs the question......

What God did they have in mind? Buddah? Allah? The 10,000 Hindu Gods?

Honestly the separation of church thing is so blurred in Government I wonder if it's really worth the argument. People are going to believe what they choose to believe anyway. That being the case in the words of the wise man applies. Why arm wrestle about it?????

Cause if we don't are wrestle about it, the beliefs of the majority end up being forced on the lives of the minorities.

And since America is a nation made up of all sorts of people, race, gender, religion, etc. it's important that no one group and their beliefs have power or influence to impose their beliefs on other groups that don't share those values.

It's the arm wrestling that made America what it is today. From the civil rights movement to women's suffrage to today's struggle of keeping Christian values where they belong, in YOUR home, not in MY state funded parks, buildings, schools, etc.

u think of all the conflicts throughout time and ALOT of them stem from religion.
