Obviously, in the world scheme, it is of lil' consequence, but it is newsy, gossipy,
a bit of schadenfreude, and interesting to most of us.

My wonderment is why the stone walling; if he gave the gist, or even a reasonable
line of bs, leaving out the gory details, much of the storm would have blown over by now.
(The gossip rags aren't going away ever, and they are usually onto the smoke trail, imo.)

And, if this had been John Daly, we would all nod and tsk, tsk and go on...but, it's
Tiger, whom has so far managed to project and portray that nearly perfect, nearly
invincible, and inscrutable air about him, especially off the ball chasing track. Thus,
it is of human curiosity and interest. It ain't going away, imo.

A friend in the PR world says he's facing $164 fine and 4 points on his license...Law will not pursue criminal charges other than careless driving, due to lack of evidence.

Even if he told his side of the story and case was closed, this circus would still continue. High profile peeps will typically not speak to Police if they're not required as they're the number one source for leaks these days, slightly ahead of Sammy the Bull Gravano and TMZ.

And we have a new player in the "I got driven by Tiger's Woods" drama:
News – New Woman Claims Affair With Golfer Tiger Woods – Celebrity News – UsMagazine.com

A Los Angeles cocktail waitress tells the new Us Weekly (on newsstands Wednesday) that she had a steamy 31-month fling with Tiger Woods and has a voicemail recording and text messages to prove it.

Look back at the biggest sports scandals of all time

Jaimee Grubbs, now 24, tells Us Weekly she began having an affair with Woods, 33, in April 2007.

She tells Us Weekly they went on to have 20 sexual encounters.

See more stars caught cheating

Grubbs, who recently appeared on VH1's Tool Academy, also tells Us Weekly she has more than 300 racy texts from Woods, who wed model Elin Nordegren in 2004.

Come back to Usmagazine.com Wednesday morning to listen to a Nov. 24 voicemail Woods left Grubbs in which he suggests his wife might suspect he is having an affair.

Remember these controversial celeb couples?

Talk of the alleged affair with New York City club manager Rachel Uchitel reportedly led to Woods' one-car accident near his home in Florida this past Friday.

See what Rachel Uchitel told Us about the affair rumors

TMZ has reported that Woods and his wife were arguing about the alleged fling just before the crash.

I'd disagree, Tiger is "BELOVED" around the world. Had he immediately allowed police to question him and had his report closed, all the media would be talking about now is how his tourney was going "post" accident.

Hell, Lance Briggs dropped his Lambo off on a street corner and hid from the cops, that lasted all of a weekend in the media.

That's right face the media "after it was rumored he had an affair".
Add fodder to an already overplayed event involving a fire-hydrant and
a tree. Makes a lot of sense to me.................
Go ahead Tiger make em squirm.

And with all this, he came out in 2007 saying how Mike Vick just should have "come forward faster" to the media. Not to mention, he can't seem to explain why his wife took a 9-iron to the back window of his SUV and at less than 10 mph, was in and out of consciousness. Anyone would question this, well..any reasonable person I guess Is it the most important thing in the world, absolutely not but quit acting like he banged into a shopping cart

You have a point...however i'm sure even a considerable amount of Chicago residents have zero clue who Briggs is. There is simply no comparison between the two. If he came forward immediately, even with the version the he believes is truth, you honestly believe the paparazzi/media would leave it alone? They were making a mountain out of a mole hill before this incident, which only fueled their fire. Tiger sells newspapers and tabloids and that industry is hurting deeply right now.

imo his silence will kill this fiasco sooner.

Exactly.

MD hit the nail on the head as well when he said Tiger has a very squaky clean image. It is obvious he is trying to maintain that image, but the silence is making him look guilty of something. It is pointless for Tiger to try to hide it. People will be digging through his garbage for months. It is going to come out eventually and he will look bad for not stepping up and telling the truth.

At some point those medical records will surface. Pictures, laceration descriptions, blood work,etc... If ten mph causes lacerations deep enough
for suture or scars enough to prevent playing in a tourney, something is way off.
